UW Medical Center’s cardiology care is identified among the nation’s best in a list of “100 Hospitals with Great Heart Programs 2016,” published this month by Becker’s Hospital Review.  No other Washington state hospital is named in the list.

“The hospitals on this list lead the nation in cardiovascular healthcare. Many have pioneered groundbreaking procedures and are still pioneering breakthroughs today,” Becker’s wrote.

UWMC was cited for its cardiovascular training, one of the most comprehensive such programs in the Northwest, as well as its recent high rankings for heart care in U.S. News & World Report

The Becker's article identified its evaluation criteria for inclusion and explained that hospitals on the list are not ranked, but named alphabetically.
