As the sidewalks burn hotter than a matchhead, the sun beats down, and cool lakes and rivers beckon, take a few minutes to learn how to protect yourself and your family during a heat wave. 

Anne Newcombe, clinical director, Emergency Services, UW Medicine’s Harborview Medical Center, shares her experience with a few of the most common heat-related problems, and some tips for staying safe as the temperatures as rising.
